  • Latex paint and peeling.

I like Latex paint and I use it because it matches what I have on my molding/stairs. I have however run into a problem when I pull up my protecting tape I put down. After the paint is dry, it forms a mold with the tape and sometimes peels the paint. Is there a method anyone here uses to prevent this, besides the obvious cut the bottom with a razor. That can sometimes be a pain in the ass. Thanks.

Pull it while it's still wet?

I've thought about that, but wouldn't that screw it up as well?

Nope. Pull it wet, but don't stack the paint. Coverage is all you need.

Ya, pull it wet, but if it dries first, use a razor blade along the edge as you pull.

Gotta pull it wet. I use Frog tape and have the old lady pull the tape behind me as I'm cutting in.
