Shower remodel - guru needed

Who are our resident bathroom remodelers? I am thinking of tearing out the master shower surround, stripping it to studs, doing a new base and then tiling the whole thing. I want to re-use the existing glass and door frame, but want to add an additional 4"-8" in depth to the shower. This will mean moving over the shower head and controls a few inches to remain centered.
