tree trimming pole saws

Anyone on here near Arlington have one I could borrow for the weekend? Have about 6 branches that need to be trimmed back, not very big, but pretty high. Couple are getting too close for comfort to my neighbors roof. Never used one before, pretty easy? If they're cheap, I'll just pick one up at home depot. Any pointers?

If you are worried where the limbs might drop then tie off the branch the direction you want it to drop. Or just make multiple cuts and drop them a little at a time.
