  • Cool thanks for the PM.

You building the fire pit yourself? I did mine and it cost me $200 for all the materials, only took half a day.

Me lift rocks? Hell to the no. I'm probably going to get a propane set up anyway. I found a pretty cool one at Lowes.

      • was your contractor reasonable? I want a similar cover put over my patio and been looking for a fair guy. I'm in Little Elm but wouldn't mind getting a quote from him if he comes this way. Mines more of an L shape but probably close to the same size. And of course I have to pick out rock and do my fire pit this summer too! seems like a common theme

This is like the one we got for camping and love it. You could build (read: have someone else build) a surround to make it look nice then you'd have it if you ever needed it to be portable.

I have a guy that's extremely reasonable. His guy is more reasonable, but he's never available. If you're interested, pm me and I'll send his info.

          • Looks badass Eric.

I've learned that you can never underestimate the awesomeness of air infused blowing hot water and good whiskey.

Especially when you plug up a bunch of jets so the one special jet is handing out massages for the prostate.

                • Not sure if you are interested but, I bought some solar powered led tiki torches and I love the shit out of them. They are on all night Snd I don't have to do anything to get the ambiance. If yours are for Mosquitos, they make one that is both. For me, it's better than having to deal with oils and open flames.

                  • I have a bunch of regular torches I use for both ambiance and mosquito repellent. I enjoy the fire. Thanks though.

Thanks. It has been a loooong road. lol Couple more minor projects and I'm "finished" with this stage. Even done with buying interior furniture minus maybe replacing 2 items at some point. Next big project will be the Master Bath, but that will probably be a bit down the road. I'm going to take a big break once this is done, maybe do some more traveling. Electric should be finished today, guy has been working his ass off on it. Hopefully have the tub usable by the end of the weekend.

I am trading a wall oven that needs some work for a hot tub that needs a control board. We are looking at pouring a 20x20 patio as soon as some funds free up. I am planning the hot tub and an outdoor "kitchen", at the very least a bricked/stoned grill. Though it will probably be next spring before that happens. The first order of business on the exteriorwill be gutters with in ground drains, followed by grading and a new yard.

Cool! My tub was delivered Wednesday and is being wired tomorrow. I'll let you know how the experience is as well as quality and price.
I tried to post a picture of my little set up but I can't attach a picture from my iphone apparently.

                            • Electric getting run to the shed, which will now become a small workshop and keep the garage clean for the Mustang. Tub wiring is already buried. We were going to go under the eves originally, but I like this much better. Ramona the Border Collie with the photobomb.
