  • Hot Tub gurus?

Looks like I might be picking up a free Morgan 6 person hot tub. It is a charcoal system, are these things worth a damn? I'd prefer to have it converted to salt water if it isn't ridiculously expensive. What is going to be involved in wiring this thing up to my old ass 1966 house? It comes with all the wiring, but I assume I'm going to need some electrical done. I also will probably need it leveled and "installed" properly in the location I want it in my backyard where there is just currently grass next to my covered patio. Advice? Anyone on here do this type of work? Muchas Gracias.

Most require 220V so you may have to have that wired in.

Why are you so concerned with me getting pussy? It's frankly getting a bit fucking creepy.

Definitely get some electrical advice. It might require a 220v 50amp dedicated circuit, depending on the motor/pump size.

If this is one that can run on 110 or 220, definitely get the 220 wired in. You won't know it till you do it but it'll run sooooo much better than being on 110v.

There we go, the previous owner was mentioning something about this, I just couldn't remember the specifics. How much of a bitch will it be to get that set up?

None at all for a licensed electrician. I'm sure nanus can suggest a IBEW buddy for you!!

                    God bless.

Allow me to better ask that question, how much is it probably going to cost me? I'm sure as hell not touching it. Me and wiring don't mix.

my electrician usually charges me $50-100 plus materials for side work

materials are going to suck if it's a long run of 220!

It going to end up being right next to my utility room with washer dryer, so it shouldn't be too bad. Plus the guy said he was going to give me all the wiring, and he has it way off in his sideyard, so I should be in good shape. He turned his house into a rent house and just wants to get rid of it. This is going to be awesome.

Should be a few hundred bucks. They will have to wire it from your breaker box to wherever you want it. Plus it its out in the yard put it in a pipe etc etc... One reason I bought this house I have 220 in the garage and back porch even though I don't use it.

                              Solid reasoning.
