exactly why i invested in the cheap wagner paint gun......lay down a cloth spray the room in a kilz primer then do the walls in your gloss/semi gloss and cut in the edges with a brush if you get some on the ceiling then tape the wall off and hit the ceiling with the kilz in a can. the wagner just makes the big areas go fast. Then your not worn out and can spend more time cutting in the edges. just make sure you tape off/cover what you dont want painted.......and prepare for white nostrils lol
