  • Vessel sink counter height?

Anyone on here have a vessel sink in their bathroom?

I was thinking of replacing the counter in my guest bathroom and switching to a vessel style sink but everything I read is that the counter has to be 28-30" to make it look right. The existing counters are about 30" high and to me they are too low(I'm 6'3")

I was looking at replacing the counters with something taller - around 34-36". just wanted to get opinions or ideas from people that actually have them.

    Thanks in advance.

The vessel will sit on top of the counter which means it will be 6"-8" higher than the sink is now. Remember when you buy the new fixture, that it needs to be for a vessel sink (height-wise).

We put one in at the fiance's parents house and it seems low but it isnt bad. Its probably 6" lower than a normal counter height.

I put one in my hall/guest bath. I used ths standard cabinet and built a new counter top out of wood and granite tile. Put vessel sink right on top. Its tall but I am 6'2" so it feels better to me.
