my LG front loaders have been rock solid for nearly 7 years now."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

We have Samsung front loaders for almost 3 years nowand have had zero issues. We do keep the door propped open and whip out the seals after every use. About once every 4 months I run the cleaner packets through it as well. No mildew smell or issues. I did learn that it takes MUCH less soap than I was used to using. I think most people use to much soap which causes lots of problems.sigpic

I cannot stand my front loading washer... It never fails if you have kids, that when you pull the clean clothes out of the washer they fall straight to the floor as there's no way to pull them out and keep them in your hand or off the floor... Simply put, I effing hate my front loader and will never buy another. In it's defense, it's a work horse with 0 problems other than I hate the design.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

Just put a laundry basket in front of the door?
Just bought the wife a set of GEs, hopefully they will be a good purchase. Definitely a lot quieter!

I have had a the GE/Fridgidaire front loaders from 2001 or so. They work great. The only thing I have ever done is remove a plastic underwire support from the drain impeller. Analog controls, stainless drums, leave the door open.
My mother could not find a top loader with a full size agitator and old school water level control. She hates it and says it doesn't clean clothes at all.Last edited by EW; 07-27-2013, 08:55 AM.
