Both of the faucets on the exterior of my house are leaking. I watched videos on youtube how to fix it and bought washers at home depot but when I tried taking them apart to replace the washers I couldn't get to where the washers were. So I need to hire someone to either replace the guts or the entire outlets on the exterior of my house, who does this? Should I just look for a handy man or a plumber or someone else?

    Thanks in advance

so were you able to take the handle and that top nut off? IIRC, the washer is on the stem.

At least with mine they were too - the "frost free" type. Maybe he has older ones?

Some of them have stems that pull all the way out and there's a special bashing that goes on the end. You have to get them from that specific manufacturer.

Sometimes it isn't a bad washer. It's just the packing nut that has backed off, thus causing the leak. Take a pair of channel locks and tighten that packing nut back down. If it still leaks, then replace the valve stem washer.
