What's the best and easiest stuff to use to replace the expansion joint on my pool? "deck o seal" seems to be a front runner... Damn, pool stuff is always expensive.

I have an above ground pool and I bought it from my friend because he want to build an in ground pool. Before buying this from him I checked prices and I think I got it very cheap from him. In my opinion, deck o seal is better than any other.

Warning you now.. Doing that shit sucks. Cutting the old out is annoying, and that stuff gets everywhere. Fired my pool company (guy) two weeks ago. We were having an algea infestation - and he kept blamming it on the metals in the water. He would come out - shock it - and never come back. No brush, no vaccuum, no followup - until next week. After complaining - he finally came out - I stayed at home because I was just going to fire him there and then - I watched him come - poor acid in the pool (no test, no othing else) - and expecting him to return - he just left.
Bottom Line - if you want to pay someone to maintain your pool that's fine - just make sure YOU know how to maintain it first. I didn't know - and just assumed - and now I'm sorry I even paid someone - it's easy.
