    17 bags x $33 each(Atticat, fiberglass) = $561(right at $600 with tax)
Machine rental for 24hrs = Free(Home Depot, buy 10+ bags...you can always buy 10 and return a few afterwards, if need be )
Buddy to help feed the machine = 12 pack Budlight

I agree...we had $400+ electrical bills with the thermostat on 80!
Ridge vent, soffit vents, and whirlybirds will be installed when a new roof is put on.

Oh wow, yeah that's a LOT of insulation you blew in there. Don't worry though, in a couple years it will get compacted a little and you'll be able to see the studs again. Watch how well your home holds its temperature now.

Also, make sure those soffit vents aren't blocked. One easy way to do this is to take a leaf blower outside and blow the air up through the vent into the attic. That should move any insulation out of the way with minimal effort.

I actually removed one of my turbines and used the existing hole for my electric fan.

I got to replace a bunch of those electric fans when I was growing up. Hopefully they are better than they used to be, they burned up pretty quickly.

Wow your attic looks a lot like mine.. Compacted down insulation and the way the beams and studs run makes it impossible to walk through haha.

I will look into that machine and buying our own.. that seems pretty cheap.

Who has the math for attic square footage to air flow required and how much air a single soffit flows etc?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.
