  • Thanks guys... feels great to get some feedback. I will get formal pictures after the trim work goes in and the kitchen is more assembled.

Looking back, Im glad I foamed the house. I going on 8 days of no a/c or heat and the house is floating between 70-71*f.

You really should be proud of it. Regardless of running over schedule.

            • Updates? Not a lot it seems like though it feels like a lot of work. We put down 500' for baseboards and about 400' of door casing and what not. Caulked, primed and filled. The fiance is up to the painting part this weekend. I will get pics when that is done. Lots of odds and ends done (installed the last of the doors, siding for the garage door area since we closed in the garage as living space, had to adjust the french door, etc.)

The good news is that my work overtime is coming to and end. Im bitter and burned out with work after doing months of 60-70 hours a week. So this month should be a good progress. Just have to pony up $5k for soffits, fascia and freeze boards to be replaced.

Funny you mention this... I pass you going one way or the other most days on 114. Your F250 is hard to miss with seems like a rare color and the plasti dip stuff.

                      • I hate doing tile...but a couple people that came by to bid on it flaked out. Why is it so hard to find dependable people?

The start of the master shower. Its 6'6" x 5'6"... its about 175sq ft of wall space to tile, and 36ft or so of floor and 36ft of ceiling to tile. Dual shower heads with a single rain shower head. Grohe valves. The tile is Daltile Carrara porcelain tile that is 10x14. I got 75% of it done today. Pics were before the first break. Will finish in the am and hope to do the other shower tomorrow. I had to break out the old shower pan and redo it. Then 3 coats of hydroban (if there is ever a next time, I will use Kerdi again...hydroban took way too long)
