  • plumber needed to help solve argument.

So the tub filler in our master bath has a very slight drip. I told my wife no problem I will replace the seats. She says no i want a new one because I hate the gold color. I say Ill have to tear through the wall to do that. she says no you wont. Its a roman style filler, I see no way to change it without getting under the tub (which means through the wall). Just curious if I can change it out without going through the wall. Here is a pic.

look under the front for a set screw that would hold it on. Ours has a set screw that allows it to be removed

Might be able to change the trim out but the valves are under the tub.

You will either have to go through the wall or sometimes you can have the front panel removed to gain access I'm a journeyman plumber if you need some help with it

Update? Did you have to do laundry because there is a setscrew on the faucet and you don't have to go through the wall?
