  • Alarm question

My home alarm went off by accident the other day when I was just waking up and in the master bedroom, thing is I could barely hear it. The alarm horn is in the second story attic. I have looked at the horn and there is no volume setting. Seeing how it is just two wires, can't I just splice in and run a second horn much closer to the space near the master bedroom?

The alarm wires that are spliced into the wire attached to the horn is a 4 wire combo, but only two are used and a resistor is already wired in, my assumption is as long as I splice past the resistor I should be fine....
