3" long, 1/2" threaded (3/4" OD) ceiling fan down rod?

Does anyone have a 3" long (or shorter), 1/2" threaded (3/4" OD) ceiling fan down rod, preferably in Gold color that I can buy from you?

The 3" down rod is the standard length that comes with ceiling fans and people normally toss them when switched to a longer down rod. I'm switching a ceiling fan from a 10' ceiling to a 8' ceiling and trying to find the short down rod.

Have you checked Home Depot or Lowes? I bought one there recently and painted it to match. They usually have those "gold" colored rods on sale/discount.
