  • Cheap Gravel (FW Area)

Anyone know the cheapest route to get loose gravel around Fort Worth? I'm not sure how much I'll need exactly due to other things going on in the backyard at the moment, but I figured buying it in bulk versus Lowes would be a whole lot cheaper. I don't need anything really fancy it's just being used for landscaping in the mudpit...I mean, backyard.

X2. Exit Cahoba, enter the "park" on the south/westbound side of the road. Probably a few piles of free stuff.

Are we sure that is "free" stuff, because I don't look good in bright orange and those house shoes they provide aren't very unfashionable...the bracelets are okay, though.

Buying in bulk like 7-24 yards? How much are you actually needing?

In Fort Worth, try Whiz Q Stone.

So far about 30 yards. Depending on the build of my patio/deck I may need more once I know where the concrete placement is.

That's roughly only 1/8th of my backyard and actually that's just the side yards. I'd sod it in, but odds are I'd be planting grass every year.

When we owned land I had 1100' of driveway, 8' wide, 3-5" deep depending on ground contour and only used 3 of those.

Holy shit no! I think we must've had a language barrier when I asked the landscapers. What *I* myself measured the other day was 12'x4', 24'x5' and 24'x12'. I may have one smaller area, but I damn sure don't need THAT much rock. I think I better check his plant/grass calculations before I have enough to sod and decorate the entire block.
