Wife bought me a work bench/tool chest that has a solid wood top. Should I seal the wood top so it doesn't stain /soak up oil and other stuff? Trying to figure out what to use to protect it.

Just understand that it will get scratched and stained. However, a yearly coat won't hurt anything at all.
I remember trying to treat stuff so nice I never used it. F-that.
Edit: Curious is it the Costco one?Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I suppose I will just give it a quick spray down with some clear polyurethane and call it good. I figure it's going to be too annoying and hard to keep it perfect, might as well use the shit out of it and give it character :-)
It's the home depot /husky model. I liked the Costco model but this one matches my tool chest which is also husky /hd.2002 4.6L 5spd S281
