$269.00, not paying it, trees are free.

Good luck on finding a free tree that's not ready for planting.

See if you can find a free magic oak bean. Be careful though, it might grow way more than 12'.

The holes already dug, my buddy said I can come out to his property and take any tree I want, but hes two hours away. I guess I can stop being a cheap bastard, haha!

lol...you aint getting a free tree. Good luck digging up a tree and not killing it by cutting too many roots.

Pay up or bust out the labor.

Yep, you'll kill it digging it up. And if not, the wind burn on the way back will get it.

Yeah, never really thought it out...

269 does not sound bad after you consider..

It's a 12' tree, so trailer, truck and gas

Probably another trailer/truck/gas to pull whatever it is you're going to use to dig it out.

                        Time

Maybe labor if paying someone to help

Then look out if you have a breakdown or anything.

Welp, it was never really about the having to pay for a tree, but more if anyone had a hook up for trees. $291.19 (tax incl.) seemed a bit expensive to me for a baby tree. I had to wait til today to call Trinity in Fairview, their trees were (Live Oak) $150..00 for 3 in. dia. (12ft) tree. Local and home grown owners, so I'll be giving them all of my business from now instead of the box stores or high dollar nurserys.

As members of the Go Texan program with the Texas Department of Agriculture, all of our container grown trees, shrubs, and flowers hold up well in the Texas heat.

That sounds like a good price. I need to plant several.
