      Mueller is delivering the materials the week of the 14th. It should be close to completion 2wks after delivery, as long as my builder didn't get too far behind with all the rain. I'm hoping by the end of the month I can start moving my toys in.

            I had to get engineered drawings so my price might be a little higher. Here's a break down off the top of my head.

            dirt work - $1500 (level 4ft slope from front to back)

            slab/masonry - $14k (includes deeper beams per engineer and rock retaining wall and concrete steps at the front porch of the house)

            building materials - $10.5k (40X60X14 with 2 walk doors and gutters, doesn't include overhead doors)

            overhead doors - $3k (2 insulated sectional doors, one 16X12 and one 12X12 installed)

            labor est. - $7k (going rate is around $3ft.)

            total = $36,000

            All the columns and wall purlin are up. The trusses are welded up and they are delivering the sky jack tomorrow so we can start hanging the trusses and roof purlin in the morning.
            I will add some updated pics by the end of the week.

              Thanks. I would love to build a mother-in-law suite / garage in our backyard.
              Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

                Man that is a good deal. I priced bolt together kits that size for my FIL last april and just the 40x60 with no doors was $16k without engineered drawings.

                So, a crew will come out and weld the building together/install panels? What insulation did you go with?

                    I plan on doing 1-2 inches of spray foam insulation.
                    I spent the entire budget on size, so I won't be able to insulate it for about a year. I did order the insulated doors though.

                      Latest update on my shop. Here's a pic of them hanging the last couple of pieces of tin. It's all done now except the doors. I'm still researching the best commercial grade doors that are even close to my budget, I'm not having much luck so far. I hope to get the electrical done soon too.

                          Insulated doors that v size are expensive, no way around it. Why don't you buy uninsulated and have them spray foam the doors

                            My wife would never see me unless she moved a couch and the rest of the house into that shop if it were mine.
