What could be wrong if the clothes are still sopping wet after the spin cycle?

It is actually spinning. I checked all hoses for clogs and they're good. I replaced the water pump with a brand new one. This washer is only four years old.

It has to be a draining issue, or a spinning speed issue.

I've dumped water in the tub and watched it drain out as well as poured it through the sewer hose, so I feel somewhat confident it's draining alright. There's no standing water left in the tub at the end of the wash, just really wet clothes.

I've never messed with a washer before so I'm learning as I go. I'll take apart the tub I guess and make sure nothing has slipped out and is impeding the spin. Then I'll look into the clutch, I guess.

If it is draining properly, the only other cause would be a belt (if your machine has one), or the clutch. I had the same problem. Motor was turning, but the clutch was partially engaging, so it wasn't spinning at full speed. I replaced the clutch, and it resolved my issue.

Clutch was very easy to replace, too. Mine is a 10 yr old ken more.
