  • What's bleeding through my spackle??

Well... With the wife and kids staying at the hospital and me not being able to stay with them due to work, I needed something to occupy myself so I decided the laundry room was pissing me off and needed some "new paint".... That quickly was blown out the water after a month of being left alone in the house late at night with no one home and no one coming home anytime soon and now I'm think I may be on track for a full scale remodel of every room..

After starting to fix some nail holes and whatnot on the wall where the cabinets once decided to hang themselves I noticed some brown spots appearing through my dry spackle. I'm not real sure if it could possibly be mold? rust bleeding through? Or ?? Anyone have any idea or suggestions? I am not gonna killz it until I decide if I need to dig deeper to keep anything else from causing a problem later.

Blood. You got a dead body back there. Just my "professional" opinion.

Looks like a water stain to me. Now if its a really old house, sometimes the moisture of the spackle can draw out stains from old rock. Kilz it and be done.

                Drywall aging?

Looks like moisture to me Daniel, wait a couple days to see if it expands and if it doesn't just kilz it.

Yes my meat always comes out great because I stuff it into tight dark crevices

Kilz it and paint. Trust me. I've been doing this for 32 years now. Its just a water stain.

Wait...am I the ONLY one who thinks he is saying these are new stains?

Based off his post, I'd be doing some minor hole making in the walls to try and ascertain the source of a leak/other problem.
