Thats what I plan on building on my 5 acres. Simple from the outside and deck it out from the inside.

Thanks, yeah we looked at doing a metal building and finishing it out. We kept pretty simple on the outside since we didn't want anything too fancy. The inside is where we are going to put our upgrades. Wood floors, custom maple cabinets, granite, all can lighting, etc.

Looks nice. I would paint the front door a different color, maybe to match the roof.

I told the wife she can paint it any color she wants. I think she wants to match the roof.

Any progress over the holidays? Looks great so far, I love the idea of keeping the outside/roof line simple to keep costs down.

They finished the cabinets, but have not installed them yet. They finished sheet rock and are doing knockdown texture now. I will try to get some pics when I head over there today.

Thanks for all the comments. They finished texture this morning. Here are a few shots of the kitchen/living room open area.

Cabinets were in the house today. I will get a picture once they get them stained and hung.

Finishing up the cabinets, so we can get some paint on the walls. Staining the maple was tricky, a slight oversight in picking the wood but I like the tighter grain. Sherwin Williams Armoire Hickory stain on the cabinets.
