OR get rid of termites and see IF there's damage that turns up at a later date and deal with it then.
Right, they treated under the shower via another whole in the slab, and the termites are within the surrounding structure of the shower. The real problem is if I don't investigate the damage now I won't have a right to file a claim past the 31st of October. So, if I do it now and there's no major issues then I'm out money to rebuild the shower, and if I wait to investigate until much later down the road and there IS damage then I'm still out a chunk of money to rebuild the shower.

I would argue the fact that they found termites after a tretment and in order to do a proper inspection they need to tear out the shower. It sounds like they are jut saying they are under the shower to avoid tearing it out or stalling until the 31st.

        Very possible.

I've placed a call with customer service and they are looking at the facts and will call me back with an answer on what they will/won't do and/or what options they would prefer, etc.

Yeah since you have a warranty I would say dig a little further. If you didn't have warrantty then I would say have them treat it and then pop the tile back on. Like I said I learned a lot with my old house and that was pretty low on the wall. I had a wall during the remodel that had them all the way up and the wood was still ok. Termites are generally pretty slow. I only replaced the wood in that wall because we already had the shower ripped out. I had a guy I use to work with that said its not if you will get termites its when you will get them.
