Wood floors going in (pic heavy)

I feel ya on the carpet being all nasty. I've put wood floors in my house (almost black wood) and pulling the previous owners carpet out almost made me gag. There were mysterious spots of "Gonorrhea" green and "puke" yellow...so nasty.

And your floor with all the footprints all over it looks like mine now. I don't plan on cleaning until I am 100% done.
