I had Tif 419 sod put in two weeks ago. I read you can fertilize after two weeks but should I do it in this heat? If so what type?

Not a good idea. Too hot right now, I would wait a bit. When you do it, I would go with 1/2 of what is recommended. For now, just water the heck out of it and keep it from drying out. When you fertilize, use a 3/1/2 ratio. Lesco is a good deal at home depot. SKIP the weed and feeds...

I would use an organic fertilizer like Gardenville 7-2-2.

yes, fertilizer now is fine, did you put it down or a company, a company should have put down a starter fert.....like a 18-24-12, 12-24-14, this is what you put down on new sod and water in in thoroughly. i fertilize all day everyday, if you put down the correct products and water in there's no problem, do make sure the turf is dry when you apply it then water in
