In-ground pool cost

Seriously, the guy mentions a GC that he called in on a consult basis to check things along the way at certain milestones. If anyone knows one, retired or otherwise I would like to discuss a similar arrangement.

I'll disagree with some caveats...

1. Even with a good above ground, it won't last more than 10-15 years most likely. Which is why we're thinking about one. Kids will be booted out of house by that time, tear it down, sell the house.

2. It does look fairly unattractive to just have a pool above ground. Defiantly plan for nice decking, with a patio and all that jazz.

3. In my opinion to properly setup an above ground will still be 10-15K. (after decking, leveling, landscaping, the pool itself and so on.) Which of course is totally lost after the years are over.

The alternative is to replace it with another - depending on situation. The ones we're looking at run 2-3K.

Also, depending on yard an above ground maybe smarter. An additional reason is when it rains out here, it really gets to turning into a river if really heavy. In-ground folks have some issues with rain drainage running into their pools. Landscaping/grading to fix these issues is a fortune all on its own.
