How do I fix this lawn?

I have a lot of Johnson grass and other things growing and there is a thick layer of thatch. I am about to dethatch it all next time I mow, but this Johnson grass grows FAST. I am debating on if I should kill it with Round up when I do the dethatching or will that prevent me from being able to seed it with bermuda?

i believe theres only a 24 hr window on roundup for seeding afterwards, just check the label to be sure

Best way to get rid of Johnson grass is to pull it by hand from the root, I have got Ms Olsons yard looking really good. She had a ton of Johnson grass. Filled up two trash bags of it along with other weeds.

Applied Weed n Feed every week & make sure you water as soon as you put the Weed N Feed down. Also put down some Turf Builder in the Fall. But alot of getting your grass to come back is just everyday work & pulling the shit out by hand
