I have a lot of time off saved up and a guy that does little stuff cheap from Plano. He replaced a large roof trim piece, 7 bricks in the wall, six or seven soffit pieces, sealed my entire roof, replaced the back wood panel that covered the front of the garage, and put on a few corner pieces for 700.00. I did not even bat an eye at the quote and that included the materials.
Guy works his ass off from 7a to 8p when hes there. Way better then my last contractor that did the remodel on that house. I called him though and he said no way on the kitchen remodel, but all else and hes my man.

Plus I have recruited my entire shift for a BBQ/work day or days. Two guys can do sheetrock and bed work. I took off that first week and pretty sure I am going to have a dumpster on the front lawn. I need to knock down a tree house, clean up a bunch of crap in the back yard covered in weeds, and rip out some paneling in the main room. Not to mention all the walls in the garage. Should get some nice 2x4's out of it though.

I figure after we clean, re trim, and repair eveything this house it will still be a great deal in a very closed off area. Plus the house payment will be just right.
    Whos your Daddy?

Ever seen "The Money Pit" with Tom Hanks and Shelley Long?

Patience is the key. Take your time and everything else will work out.

May hit you up for that dude, if he's willing to travel that far. Does he do any minor electrical?

Anyway, Vertnut nailed it. Just don't rush, even if you don't have enough time.

Vertnut is a bit of a snob. He visited my old neighborhood once so he knows the value of location location.

Yeah I am in no hurry.
