I've tried fertilizer with weed killer, straight weed killer (Bayer and Spectracide) brand weed killers, and all it does is make this shit yellow for a couple days, and it's right back to growing like a MoFo. I've tried turning the amount from the recommended dose up a little, same results except my bermuda grass yellowed a bit now... Any idea's WTF to do? It's along both sides of the yard, where the sun hits the yard less and grass does not grow as well, but I'd like it gone and will plant some heavy shade tolerant grass next.

Yea that round up will kill a bout a foot radius if you spray a weed at the base. I did my back yard and sprayed the big weeds at the center of the base and I got big brown spots slowly growing back.
Rent house so not to worried just weeds with prickly leaves piss me off

Go to Tractor Supply and get a quart of Amine 400. That is a 2,4-D based broadleaf killer. Amine is a controlled chemical, meaning if you buy gallon jugs you must have a license. If you buy a quart, you do NOT have to have the license. Mix the chemical at about 4 tablespoons per gallon. Mix about 3 spoons of Johnsons Baby Oil in the spray. The oil mixes with the water, and holds the chemical on the the leaves longer which gives a good kill. Spray early in the morning or late evening. If you spray St Augustine grass when it is above 85 degrees it will burn it. Don't use the Round Up or Barrier, or Big and Tough. They kill all vegetation. Good luck !

I bought some Hi-Yield Killzall to decimate weeds on my driveway. It has the highest concentration of Glyphosphate on the market at 41%. At first I was dissapointed because in several days I could not tell any difference until I read how it works. It takes 7 - 10 days to kill the plant. It soaks in and works its way throughout the plant. If you overdose it, it will kill the top first and not the root resulting in it growing back. Still I wonder what is better, Glyphosphate or or the Amine 400 which uses Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. I just want the weeds gone from the gravel drive and walkways forever.

There is also a product called "Barrier". It is a soil sterilant . It will kill the plant and the soil for up to a year. Do not use it anywhere that you want to plant something else. It works well around buildings and on fence rows. It should work well on your drive way and walks, but don't get too close to anything you want to stay alive. You can buy it at Tractor Supply also. The active ingredient is a type of salt.
