  • Anyone recommend a good weed eater repair shop in FTW?

need my stihl weed whacker adjusted or worked on, it just wont seem to stay running. if I give if a little gas it will run. Any suggestions would be great. Preferably in the North FTW area.

    Thanks, Randy

You sure the gas isn't bad?

Mr. C's hardware in Hurst is a Stihl dealer that does repairs.

Kyle has been behind that counter for 30+ years. My parents bought my 1st, 2nd, 3rd......bike from him. I used to ride the dirt hills behind his shop as a kid. Now, he does the spring tune on my mower each year.

If its a few seasons old, replace the fuel lines and the filter sock in the tank.

Ive been tinkering around with gas weed wackers lately. Have 4 in my garage now all free and got two running so far. What ive found is that rotten/cracked lines may not leak but suck up air and the socks in the tanks are nasty and gummed up.

yeah i noticed when i was priming the carb that fuel started coming out where the fuel line went into the carb. these stihl fuel lines look kinda cheap.
