Flies have been worse than normal this year. I've never had an electronic bug zapper. anyone had one that worked. Any other options you've tried successfully to take care of the problem?

Zappers are great to watch with endless action. But controll bugs...very little. The fact is that you attract them by the light. So if you are anywhere close, so will the flies be.
The best thing out there is the Trermacel's. They just came out with a new one this past year that is a porch type model instead of the personal models. WELL worth the money.

Go to walmart, buy the bag fly trap. Looks Like a big ziplovck bag full of some nasty smelling shit. Put it on the other side of the yard and all flies will be attracted there and caught in the bag.
It dosent smell to bad just nothing you want to close to your patio. Smells like rotten trash.
