I highly reccommend it. from what i understand they also have edging attachments for it too.
Mine lasted 5 years and just this year the head busted on it. I guess it depends on the size of the yard. Between that and my reel mower I have been spoiled by the lack of noise.
    Whos your Daddy?

when i was growing up i bought a used electric one for super cheap, it was almost free. after realizing how much it sucked having to move the small extension cord we had i went and bought the longest one i could find/afford and never had a problem after that. my parents house is pretty small though

anyway, when i get a house i am doing it the right way and going the 2165turborail way!

I just don't want to mess with gas, and the electric ones seem to last longer. There's no spilling, no leaking, no pull starting.

that's why i never bothered with a gas. by the time they have them started and ready to use i have already been weedeatin' for 10 minutes

problem is many dont maintain the gas weed eaters. My craftsman starts on the 1st or 2nd pull each time.

I'm glad this thread was posted. I bought a Black & Decker 18V Cordless from Lowes, it was like $84.99 and I had a 10% off coupon too. Came with 2 batteries.

Today made the 2nd time I've used it and I'm glad I got it!

                      Pro's:
Lighter than my Bolens gas weedeater
Ease of use...as a weedeater or edger
Press a button and you're going
Can knock out everything with 1 fully charged battery

                      Con's:
Battery Life- I would recommend you charge the battery fully before needed, I didn't do that today and had to switch out half way

Main thing I like is the edging feature, so easy to use and it does a great job
