      Concrete is a great option, very resilient in the texas heat, no critters to worry about... etc

            The best thing about that is that I get to learn a thing or two and I save money !! Hard work though, we set 30 of the 50 concrete piers/supports on Fridayn and I was hurtin yesterday !! We will finish that part up tomorrow.

                        I'm all for engineering it correctly, but that sure seems like overkill. I'm sure it will come out fine as long as your friend really knows what he's doing. What size are these piers and how deep are you pouring them?
