I have the nasty black clay that is either slippery, sticky as shit or hard as a rock. I have about an acre to cover and none of it is shaded. I am looking for something drought tolerant. I was looking at seed they have at Tractor Supply and was surprised you could get large bags of grass suitable for cattle that cover 35000 sq ' for about $50 which sounds cheap. Any experience with this stuff? I'm not planning to have any cattle unless later on I get some goats but its not like they are picky eaters.
