New house build

When they roofed my house the roofers used a claw hammer or something and beat holes in the roof for the vent caps.
The builder had them come back out and cut the holes square with a saw and reinstalled the vents which were now to small but assured me they had a big lip and wouldn't leak. Yesterday I sent him a pic of one that blew off over the weekend.
Well it didn't get fixed or covered yesterday evening and all the drywall is soaked on that side of the house. Building with bad contractors and subs suck.

I see half ass bullshit. Shoot me your address and I'll drive out and see first hand what is going on.

I would be crazy pissed at that roofing job. There is no flashing on the rise of the chimney to keep water out. If it's rained since that was done, I would be shocked if it hasn't leaked. The apex behind the chimney doesn't even look finished and the vents look like shit. I'm sure Mike or Randy can point out a lot more, but that thing looks terrible.

Joining the Marines and building a house. The two short times in my life so far where I was straight up lied to more than any other up to this point. I'm sure it will all work out in the end, but boy do they make you lose some sleep over it.... FWIW we hired an independent inspector for our last house and I believe it was money well spent.
