I gotta ask - what's the benefit of straight shaft trimmers over the cheaper curved models? They use solid driveline instead of the flexible type on the curved units?

      Nice stuff.

A while back I bought a Honda mower, an Echo gas trimmer, and Echo gas blower.

I can edge with my cheapie curved shaft Ryobi but it doesn't give me a clean, razor sharp stright edge like the metal blade attachment does. So why would anyone prefer straight shaft over curved? I guess it does extend the distance betwen your body and the cutting head. Just looking for some insight here.
