I live close to one of the reservoirs in my town and the airborne bug population is pretty bad. We primarily use the back door to the house which is inside of the garage. The garage doesn't have a door so there isn't an option of keeping the garage door closed as an extra barrier. We have yellow bulbs installed in the garage to help cut down on the number of flying insects that accumulate around the back door. There is no screen/storm door so there isn't any additional barrier between the house and the garage. More often than not, when we go to enter the house there are more than a handful of flying insects on the door. Right now we have a bad problem with mayflies. Is there something else that we can do to keep them away from the garage and the door? We have 3 small dogs, so any other solution needs to be animal friendly
