well if your doing little jobs here and there, its cheaper to mix your own because a truck isnt going to deliver less than 6 yards to ya. So unless your pouring a driveway your better off buying and mixing yourself.

i'm not a big fan of quick-crete but if you do also buy a bag portland to put in with it. because that calcium in portland will help it set up in the winter. just be careful because it will eat your ass.

also try not to pour out unless its 40degrees or higher

                Concrete Construction During Winter
Concrete Construction During Winter We often get questions about winter construction and more specifically whether or not concrete construction can occur in the winter months. Although not ideal, it is very normal for concrete construction to occur during the winter months. We just broke ground on an addition for a commercial car dealership building and…

You may also check with some local landscapers. Most of those guys know how to do concrete work and are usually reasonable for small jobs. Thats how I got the add on done to my drive. It wasnt a whole lot more than I could have done it for.

Check around, I did a 10x20 a few years ago and rented 2 1 yard trailers that was already mixed and ready to go. Just make sure that where ever you get it from is pretty close to home so you can get it on the ground before it starts to set up. I made about a 20 min drive with mine and it came out just fine.

I'm getting ready to start on a 30x40 shop. debated doing it myself but I've heard theres too much involved to do a big job yourself. I can't seem to find anyone that does it semi cheap. For smaller jobs I would definitely do it myself though.
