  • Looking for someone to put down some pavers/stone

We have a small area we are wanting to put pavers or stone down and just wondering if anyone here does it or can recommend a place that isnt crazy expensive..

We already have the area dug out.. about 8'L x 4'W ranging from 6" - 9" deep slanting away from the house. Also we have the paver base purchased.

We have already done an area that didnt turn out to bad I dont think but me and my wife both feel with where this is its probably better to get a non-noob to do the work..

What's wrong with what you've already done that makes you think you can't tackle the rest? I don't mean to be critical, even though I've done several of these types of things in the houses we've lived in over the years, but it's not rocket science.

The stones have become somewhat uneven and severely cracked in between the stones.. It doesnt look all that bad for a first time Just unsure if I want to try again on an area we will be using everyday.. (right outside the backdoor) vs the first spot was more of just extra patio/looks

If you prep the area first it should help it hold up. I did a rock patio years ago at our house, measured out the area, lined it with string from corner to corner so I could make it level, then filled it with some dirt, tamped it down, then added about 3 or 4 inches of sand, tamped that down, then the limestone or flagstone. I built up the edges with some 4x4x12 brick/rock things. The area had a good slope to it, so I had to build up the back end about 8 inches higher than the front part, but it lasted for many years, till it was torn out for our pool. Since I didn't want ex[posed sand betwen the gaps, I took some cement and a coffee can, mixed it a little watery, then poured it between each rock. They never moved, and no weeds ever grew out/through the rocks.
