When Is the best time yall have found to put it down and what does everyone like to use? My yard is Bermuda and will need some type of weed n feed and something that'll help the grass spread due to dogs and winter rain.

I have better results with the weed/feed shit from Lowes on bermuda, Sta-Green or something (can't remember, but started with an S, and not Scott's). I think it was a purple or yellow bag for bermuda.
Scott's worked great when I hade St Augestine grass, but this bermuda is fucken hell to keep green and weed free!

I know I am gonna get eaten alive for this comment but......we just signed up for a year of Truegeen.
My yard has been slipping and slipping due to lack of attention and my cheap wife not watering when it needed it the most. I am to blame though because I was out of country and relied on a yard guy to cut and keep it fertilized. My prize for 3 years with him is a shitty yard with tons of weeds.
Oh, and have you ever pushed a spreader over 1.4 acres? It is a bitch.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

i have been fertilizing lawns for nearly 20 years, in a pecan orchard no less, many are original customers , fertilize 5 times a year, 2-4 pre emergence (depending) and never, never killed a plant or tree

The most heavily recommended "weed and feed" fertilizers contain atrazine, a toxic chemical herbicide that is quite effective killing your trees and shrubs.
Yes or no?
Most lawn furtilizers has time release that can bee too fast for trees. Too much fertilizer too quickly makes "toxic salt" levels to the root system.
I'm no expert, but its easy to read and ask experts questions.
