Thanks. and yea its a chunk of money for some cabinets but some of the prices we got from others were outrageous.

for everything in the house they charged us $8300 excluding stain. the ceilings are 12ft.

If you get the unstained cabinets from HD put some crown molding on the upper cabinets prior to staining, makes a huge difference.

Cabinets are pricey. I think you did pretty well. Our maple reface job + the two cabinets was around 5k not including stainless handles. This included staining.
