Is there any "off-brand" speakers that are just as good but cheaper then the normal brand speakers out there?

I'm wanting to finish setting up my surround sound in my living room. It's not a huge room, so I don't need any massive speakers.

I currently have a 7.1 Yamaha receiver, a decent MTX sub, and some older but good large Boston Acoustic book shelf speakers. Need to get a decent center/ and 4 surround speakers.

I highly recommend the Monoprice in wall speakers. I was going to buy Klipsch but when I read the reviews I decided to try them. Easy to install. paintable grilles and sound great. I bought five, two main, two rear, and one center channel speaker. They are all holding up nicely.

EDIT: am using Carver/Sunfire Labs True subwoofer. No way you can get that sort of thump from wall speakers

I installed eathquake in my house they sound amazing. I have Denon reciever with 7.1 two 8" sweet spot and four 8" for mids and rears mounted in ceiling with the p12 Mini Me sub all earthquake. I really like the ceiling mout speakers you do not see any speakers sticking out any were and your wife can rearragne the furniture with out any hassle of moving stuff.








Reciever is a Denon AVR 1908

I am also running an older Polk Audio center
prices on web site are full blown retail you canbuy cheaper. You have distributers in Dallas area also I know.

Thanks for the link. I ended up getting some monitor 60's and a CS2 center. They sound great.
