Was watching TV and power in living room went out a few times and never came on. Checked and replaced breaker and still nothing. Called up a buddy who's an electrician and told me start checking voltage on outlets(had good voltage at breaker), and found that I lost my neutral somewhere. I remember I had a loose outlet and checked wires behind it, and this is what I found. This one piece was barely making contact. I got real lucky nothing caught on fire. There was more damage to wire, but this is just a piece I cut off. Bought a new outlet, cut some more of the damaged wire, connected it all back up, and secured all wires pretty good. Now I can watch football...
Kind of hard to tell, but wire was pretty much toasted.
