I just found it odd to be one of the very first pictures to come up under a google search for tv over fireplace, for the house to be arranged the way it was, for him to add a follow up comment about how old, rich people spend their money, and for several websites to be using the picture that apprears to be a few years old... but he said it was done just a few months ago.

Anyone ever install, or think to do so, a sliding portrait, that masks the TV until used and then splits and displays the TV when needed?
Here's why I ask. I LOVE the one of a kind, hand painted portrait above my fireplace. Putting a TV there instead would really NOT make me feel comfortable when I'm just lounging in the living room. (Don't get me wrong, we watch TV more than we lounge....) However, if I could have both, a quiet place to read and then w/ the touch of a remote open the portrait and "viola" a flat screen.... THAT would be TITS in my opinion.
Is this an insane thought process or so freak'n expensive I should go another route? (Note: I will not cut my current painting. I'll find one that I like but isn't an original oil.)Originally posted by Taya Kyle, American GunThere comes a time when honest debate, serious diplomatic efforts, and logical arguments have been exhausted and only men and women willing to take up arms against evil will suffice to save the freedom of a nation or continent.
