gas hot water heaters

  • gas hot water heaters

    my moms is leaking so im gonna swap it out next weekend. i can see two hoses for water and a gas line.

    is it just turning off the gas draining and these threee connections?

    Should also be some copper pipe for your t and p valve when/if it needs to vent.

      pretty much...
      but remeber to either use 6 inch brass nipples or dielectric unions. new supply lines, new gas line and i always put a hose bib on the drain cause that plastic piece of shit they give ya aint worth a fuk...
      almost forgot.... new t&p is a must

                Are you sure it's the heater itself that is leaking, and not just lines coming in / out or the pressure release, etc?

                Those things are pretty easy to fix.

                    Those things are pretty easy to fix.
                    yeah took a look at it today and its rusted out where the inlet and outlet are. you can use a rag to soak up the water and it just comes right back up
