Wrought iron definitley gives it a more modern deco feel. I converted my stair case from nice oil glass wood spindles to wrought iron spindles. Really made the living room pop.Handyman, classic car and antique jukebox collector/restorer, and all around good guy.

Have not visited this thread in a while. lots more progress, now we are doing the major renovations.
Started with the smaller half-bath, not sure if i have a picture of it before, but here is after. we took the popcorn off ceiling, and re-textured the walls over the old wallpaper. The temporary lighting makes it look dark.
We are trying to spend some $ on the remodel to increase the value. This is what a 500$ wall looks like!!!!
to be grouted soon, and floor tile probably done tomorrow...

Black Mulch for the flower beds, we like how new it looks all the time. Makes the plants stand out.
Yea that particular mosaic tile was 9$ per foot@!!!@!
The stairs, I actually had pictures up but the link broke??
My wife had looked up this paper mache flooring, so we tried it on the stair case and it looks awesome! Normal brown paper glued down, then stained twice, then polyurethaned twice. Has been a lot of months and not a scratch yet and they look amazing!
Now floor tile, vanity new toilet, then on the master bathroom! Start demo on that this week! I love the demo part

Good work, but some of that is going to be preference based and may make it harder to sell. of course, if you get the right buyer - they'll go crazy over it if they like it.
Also, is there a hand rail on those stairs now?Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Wish i had before pictures of this half-bath. Tiled, grouted, and trim is up. We just have to caulk and put in vanity and new toilet. Complete redo of this bath. Maybe all kinda flashy for a half-bath. We did all the work ourselves. From busting up old tile, tearing out old wallpaper, laying tile, grouting, texturing and trimming and it will be around 1400-1700$ when finished.
One thing i hate is how you can see old ceiling light fixture still. Really just from this angle though when you walk in its unnoticeable.
