  • Hit a lick on a shed..

Have been pricing sheds from Home Repo and Blowes lately as we want one at the new house so we can actually use the two car garage for um....2 cars. I have been figuring about $600-$800 for a kit and more like $1200 if I want them to install it.

I happen to drive by the sheds in the parking lot of the Home Repo on 35 in South FW and they had an 8x10 that had a sticker on it that said $699, then another that said Display Model Closeout - $549. Cool...I wanted to see what all is involved with buying a display model so I went into the garden area and happened to come across an employee and asked some questions.... low and behold it was't $549 - even though that was a good deal. They had one last unopened kit on the bulk rack - Closeout price $299!!!!

    Here it is...

Buy & sell electronics, cars, clothes, collectibles & more on eBay, the world's online marketplace. Top brands, low prices & free shipping on many items.

You couldn't buy the 2x4's to frame it for that price, much less all the other materials. Good find.

      Sweet deal!

The only thing you may want to consider is what the floor is made of, maybe some thin plywood. Buy some thicker, treated plywood so it will last longer and support more weight.

I don't know where you buy your lumber, but 300 bucks would buy me a fuckton of 2x4.

The only things the kit doesn't come with is the flooring, shingles and paint. So I will probably go with OSB for the flooring.

Yeah. 2x's are really cheap right now, along with most other lumber. A depressed housing market tends to do that. Ask me how I know...
