  • Cold water isn't cold

Throughout the house, the cold water isn't very cold. I mean it isn't hot, but it isn't as cold as it used to be. I thought maybe the hot summer had some affect on it, but it doesn't seem to be getting better.

It isn't just one faucet, it is all of them.

    What could be the issue?

i know my house does this during warmer weather due to the fact that it has the plastic hoses running through the attic so the water's warmed to the temp up there.... after that flushes out the water from in ground comes through and it'll be cool. thats just my exp. though.

I just went thru this a couple of weeks ago. Every so often i would get luke warm water when the 'cold' was turned on, then last week my water heater started leaking so i replaced it. No idea if they were related or not but i havent had the issue since.

its just hot outside.. and residential plumbers need to use insulated copper instead of plastic pipe!
