In time, good sir, in time.

I still need to settle on fire pit internals. I am leaning towards a kit that will allow me to go between natural wood or gas (rocks over a burner vs fake wood). The gas burner kit would have to be removable if I want though.

Our female boxer (Mischa) was dragging their stuff all over the damn yard every night. My wife was finding tools and gloves everywhere and torn up trash. Mischa just loves destroying shit these days for no damn reason.

There is a saying about doing it right the first time saves you time and money. Well someone other than me in this project is finding that out the hard way today.

Before they started to pour the concrete and before they poured the overlay I told them I wanted the existing patio ground down to fresh concrete so the overlay would adhere properly. The patio had several layers of paint and most of it never adhered well and was coming up. I brought it up several times and voiced my concerns.

Well the day came and went and all they did was wash it off, brush on acid and poured a very thin layer of concrete over the existing paint.

A week later they were putting the brick work down and had to redo a section of brick that had curred to the concrete. The overlay pulled right up when they ripped out a section of brick. That exposed a nice picture of the paint pealing up under their work. I sent it to BMR and asked what the warranty was going to be since it was not done the way I said it needed to be. I never heard back.

This morning I got an email saying they were coming out to do "the overlay and sealer will go down tomorrow". Scratching my head until my wife called and said they were shoveling up the overlay and redoing it. I guess they figured I was right to begin with.

I dont understand why people just dont do it right to begin with, it is sooooo much easier and more cost effective. Well, at least they are returning to do it right now. Just sucks for them and you.
