Deck/hot tub ideas

I've got a flat backyard, but want to put in a hottub without having it sit 4ft above the ground. Am i crazy for wanting to build it partially inground by 2ft and have a low rise deck run out to it? I can relocate the pump so it sits outside the frame, but need to figure out if i'm just asking for problems by trying to keep the height down.

not crazy, just make sure you have a good pad under it. I'm looking at doing a hot tub in an elevated deck

Probably won't need to worry about it, but what if you want to take it out of the hole you put it in, fuckers are pretty heavy and don't have handles.
